Ingredients
  

Tofu and Marinade

  • 1 block firm tofu, pressed and drained
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce

Breading Mixture

  • 1 cup cornstarch
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)

Bang Bang Sauce

  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons sweet chili sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha (optional)

Oil and Garnish

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil for spraying
  • Chopped green onions for garnish

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Cut the tofu into bite-sized cubes and toss them in soy sauce. Let it marinate for about 15 minutes.
  • In a bowl, mix cornstarch, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne pepper.
  • Toss the marinated tofu cubes in the cornstarch mixture until they are fully coated.

Cooking

  • Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  • Place the tofu in the air fryer basket in a single layer, spray with olive oil, and cook for 15-20 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until golden and crispy.

Serving

  • In a separate bowl, mix mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, and sriracha.
  • Serve the crispy tofu drizzled with the sauce and garnish with chopped green onions.

Notes

Air Fryer Bang Bang Tofu is best served hot and fresh. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. For best texture, eat it fresh and reheat in the air fryer for a few minutes for crispiness. You can customize the bang bang sauce with lime juice or honey for sweetness.
