Main ingredients

  • 500 g chicken, cut into pieces
  • 2 pieces onions, finely chopped
  • 2 pieces tomatoes, pureed
  • 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
  • 1/2 cup yogurt
  • 1/2 cup cream
  • 2-3 pieces green chilies, slit
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 tablespoon garam masala
  • to taste salt
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • for garnish fresh coriander leaves

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Heat oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add the chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.
  • Add ginger-garlic paste and cook for another minute until fragrant.
  • Stir in the pureed tomatoes and cook until the oil separates from the mixture.

Cooking

  • Add the chicken pieces, green chilies, chili powder, turmeric powder, and salt. Mix well and cook for about 10 minutes until the chicken is browned.
  • Lower the heat and add the yogurt and cream. Stir well to combine all the ingredients.
  • Cover and cook for 15-20 minutes, or until the chicken is fully cooked and tender.
  • Sprinkle garam masala on top and garnish with fresh coriander leaves before serving.

Notes

Store any leftover Chicken nababi gravy in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. It can also be frozen for longer storage.
