  • 3 ripe bananas, mashed Ensure they are very ripe for better sweetness.
  • 1/3 cup honey Natural sweetener for the recipe.
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon (optional) Can be replaced with nutmeg for variation.

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the mashed bananas, honey, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
  • Stir in the baking soda and salt.
  • Mix in the flour and cinnamon until just combined.
  • Pour the mixture into a greased loaf pan.
  • Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  • Let cool before slicing.

Notes

Store the banana bread wrapped tightly in plastic wrap or aluminum foil. It lasts at room temperature for up to three days or can be frozen for up to three months. Optional additions include nuts or chocolate chips.
