Ingredients
  

Filling

  • 4 cups Fresh peaches, sliced Use ripe peaches for the best flavor.
  • 1 cup Sugar Adjust based on sweetness of peaches.
  • 1 tsp Cinnamon Optional: add nutmeg for extra warmth.

Batter

  • 1 cup Flour
  • 1 tbsp Baking powder
  • 1 cup Milk
  • 1/2 cup Butter, melted Melted in the baking dish.
  • 1/2 tsp Salt

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Slice the fresh peaches and place them in a bowl. Mix with some sugar and cinnamon.
  • In another bowl, combine flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt.
  • Stir in milk until the batter is smooth.

Baking

  • Melt butter in a baking dish.
  • Pour batter over the butter, then add peach mixture on top without stirring.
  • Bake for 40-45 minutes until the crust is golden and the peaches are bubbly.

Serving

  • Serve warm, often with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream.

Notes

To store leftovers, let cool completely, then cover. Refrigerate for 3-4 days or freeze for up to 3 months. Reheat as needed.
