For the layers
- 1 package instant chocolate pudding mix Prepare according to package instructions.
- 1 cup milk Use to mix with pudding.
- 2 cups Cool Whip Fold into the pudding mixture.
- 1 package crushed Oreos To sprinkle on top.

Preparation
- Prepare the chocolate cake mix according to the package instructions and bake in a 9x13 inch pan.
- Once the cake is cooled, poke holes in the top with a fork.
- Pour hot fudge over the cake, spreading it evenly.
- In a separate bowl, mix the chocolate pudding with milk according to package directions, then fold in the Cool Whip.
- Spread the pudding mixture over the cake.
- Sprinkle crushed Oreos on top.
- Chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour before serving.
Notes
For the best result, let the cake cool completely before adding the hot fudge and pudding mixture. Dirt Cake can be stored covered in the refrigerator for 3-4 days, or frozen for up to a month.
