  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Wet Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened You can use salted butter instead, reducing the added salt.
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 large egg Can be substituted with a flaxseed egg or applesauce for a vegan option.

Add-ins

  • 1 cup chocolate chips Use quality chocolate chips for better flavor.

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a bowl, mix the gluten-free flour, baking soda, and salt.
  • In another bowl, cream the butter with the brown sugar and granulated sugar until smooth.
  • Stir in the vanilla extract and egg until well combined.
  • Gradually mix in the dry ingredients until a dough forms.
  • Fold in the chocolate chips.
  • Drop spoonfuls of dough onto a baking sheet.

Baking

  • Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden.
  • Let cool before serving.

Notes
