Ingredients
  

For the Meatballs

  • 1 pound ground beef or lamb Use a mix of both for richer flavor.
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs For a gluten-free version, use gluten-free breadcrumbs.
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • to taste Salt and pepper

For the Bowl

  • 1 cup cooked rice or quinoa
  • 1 cup chopped cucumber
  • 1 cup chopped tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup red onion, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 cup feta cheese, crumbled
  • to taste Olive oil for drizzling
  • to taste Tzatziki sauce for serving You can substitute with plain yogurt mixed with cucumber and garlic.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • In a bowl, combine ground meat, breadcrumbs, Parmesan, egg, garlic, oregano, salt, and pepper. Mix well and form into meatballs.

Cooking

  • Place the meatballs on a baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes until cooked through.

Serving

  • In serving bowls, add cooked rice or quinoa. Top with meatballs, cucumber, tomatoes, red onion, and feta cheese.
  • Drizzle with olive oil and serve with tzatziki sauce.

Notes

Let the meatballs rest for a few minutes after baking for juicier meat. Feel free to add your favorite vegetables like bell peppers or spinach for more nutrition.
