  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon fresh herbs (like thyme or rosemary) For garnish

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a small bowl, mix olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  • Rub the spice mix all over the chicken breasts.

Baking

  • Place chicken in a baking dish and pour the chicken broth around it.
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through and juices run clear.
  • Garnish with fresh herbs before serving.

Notes

For added flavor, marinate the chicken in the spice mix for a few hours or overnight. Use a meat thermometer to check that the chicken is cooked to an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C). If you like a crispy texture, broil the chicken for a few minutes after baking. To store leftover chicken, place it in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
